why i heart jade
i got temporary tattoo this morning, made for me by my new friend d.: the words "keep jade in" above two cherries and covered with a dusting of glitter. it looks delicious, and i'll try to get a picture of it up here soon.
i want to jade to stay in the big brother house not only because of all the viciousness that has been levelled at her since she arrived. the papers labelled her a "pig" right away, and everyone has made fun of her lack of general knowledge. the newspapers report that she is not only ugly, but fat, and eats too much, and has been dubbed the "michilan girl" because of her tummy. i personally think she has the most beautiful tummy ever. the nastiness she has recieved in the media has been nothing short of fucked up.
but aside from that, jade is very beautiful. her skin is always crystal clear and her eyes a a deep brown which contrasts with her joyful yellow-coloured hair. jade loves sunbathing and enjoys having arguments. she is hardly ever sneaky or sly like the other contestants. she has a tattoo which says "unique".
her mum is a one armed lesbian and her dad is in prison. her boyfriend split up with her because he couldn't deal with the tabloid intrusion on his private life. he seems like quite a dull character, not the right boi for jade at all.
pj was very mean to jade in the house, and after their drunken night of, uh, stuff, he wouldn't even hug her. it made me feel so sad for jade! and then pj got knickers thrown at him when he left the house! i hope some nice bois throw their underwear at jade when she leaves. jade wears hotpants with sass. jade gets wildly out of control when she drinks, starting fights and getting upset. spencer called her wise. jade often sings to herself and when she first moved in it was often "just a little" by liberty x which is a wicked song.
when i started to tell people that i liked jade, i'd often have to explain myself and it often proved quite tiring. it can be difficult to stick up for her all the time, because she really can be very annoying sometimes, so i stopped doing it as much. since then, the tide has begun to turn and i have heard a whole bunch of people tell me that they'd like it if jade won. it certainly would be a big "fuck you" to the tabloid media.
i don't really care if jade wins or not. i liked watching her on teevee this summer because she'd always be doing something that would drive people wild. the housemates have always been mean to her (especially the time they forced her to get naked) but jade is always fun and kind no matter what they do. similarly, her mum said of the nasty media coverage that any publicity is good publicity. i like her attitude.
whatever reaction jade gets when she leaves the house, she's going to do just wonderfully because i think she doesn't really care. being interested in jade this summer has made me look closely at how the media deals with women on the teevee and how society does in general.
i realise that my "why i heart jade" entry today won't make much sense to my american readers. sorry.
